Human Population & Forensic Genetics

Forensic Genetics is used for the identification of biological remains and individuals, and the analysis of kinship relationships.

BIOMICs applies its knowledge in these areas and provides numerous methodological contributions in order to facilitate and improve the work in this field through the analysis of:

  • Autosomal STRs (Short Tandem Repeats)

  • X and Y chromosome STRs

  • Mitochondrial DNA

  • SNPs (Single Nucleotide Polymorfisms)
